Summary

[edit]
Description
English: An external view of the Fairchild F1000 flight data recorder recovered from UPS Airlines Flight 1307, showing superficial smoke and heat damage to the recorder chassis. The Douglas DC-8-70 landed at Philadelphia International Airport one minute before midnight on the night of 7-8 February 2006 with a fire in the aircraft's main-deck cargo compartment; the fire gutted the aircraft after landing, but the three flightcrew (the aircraft's only occupants) escaped with minor injuries.
