Description
English: A U.S. Navy Curtiss NC-4 seaplane at Naval Air Station Lough Foyle, Ireland, in 1918.
The U.S. Naval Air Station at Lough Foyle, Ireland, was established in July 1918 with Commander Henry D. Cooke in command. Lough Foyle was used for patrols over the North Channel entrance to the Irish Sea. The Northern Ireland station, located between County Londonderry and County Donegal was disestablished in February 1919.
