Understanding the chart
[edit]The chart shows yield curves at different times. Each line displays the interest rate (yield) for U.S. Treasury securities for the five terms (maturity periods or tenors) as of the date indicated. The data was downloaded from the Federal Reserve Economic data (FRED database). This citation is for the 30-year Treasury Constant Maturity Rate series on FRED. You would then add the other maturities, download the information to Excel, select the desired dates, and prepare the line chart.[1]
