English: U.S. Soldiers with the 108th Chemical Battalion, 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, South Carolina Army National Guard (SCARNG) wear protective gear while preparing to decontaminate a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter as part of Exercise Palmetto Response in McCormick, S.C., June 14, 2011. Palmetto Response is a joint civilian/SCARNG exercise designed to simulate the response to a nuclear attack on U.S. soil. The two-week exercise involves urban and aerial search and rescue missions, aerial resupply and medical training scenarios. |
