Description
English: Vice Adm. Mel Williams Jr., commander U.S. Second Fleet, hosted a ceremony honoring Women's History Month and celebrating diversity in the Navy. Sara Morris, a local journalist, from WVEC Channel 3 News, was the guest speaker and talked about the challenges women have faced in the male dominated news industry, but also about the great strides being today. About 100 Sailors from U.S. Second Fleet attended the event, hearing successful women tell their stories and struggles and how they turned adversity into success.
