English: U.S. Sailors and members of the international staff of Africa Partnership Station (APS) 2009 watch a live broadcast of the inauguration of President Barack Obama Jan. 20, 2009, aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Nashville (LPD 13) while under way in the Atlantic Ocean. APS is an international security cooperation initiative facilitated by Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa aimed at strengthening global maritime partnerships through training and collaborative activities in order to improve maritime safety and security in Africa. |
