Daniel Jacobson, a platoon sergeant, with Black Sea Rotational Force guides the driver of an M1A1 Abrams tank with Combined Arms Company after a movement from Romania to Bulgaria to participate in Platinum Lion 16-3, April 26, 2016. Platinum Lion is a NATO-led exercise designed to increase readiness and strengthen partnership through realistic combat scenarios and objective-focused training. The Marines in the Combined Arms Company, along with more than 40 vehicles ranging from HMMWV's to M1A1 tanks have traveled to three countries by rail, road and air in less than three months supporting exercises and operations throughout Europe.
