English: U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Freddy Cantu, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) combat camera chief mans the rails aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) as the Bataan and amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) render honors to each other during the PHIBRON/MEU Integration Training exercise off the coast of Norfolk, Va., Sept. 20, 2013. The MEU is scheduled to deploy in early 2014 to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a sea-based, expeditionary crisis response force capable of conducting amphibious missions across the full range of military operations. |
