The coherent addition of multiple gratings to form a larger grating provides an alternative to meter-sized multilayer dielectric (MLD) gratings. This concept has been developed for the OMEGA EP grating compressors. A laboratory for laser Energetic ( LLE) research engineer is aligning a full size OMEGA EP tiled-grating assembly ( TGA).
