English: U.S. Coast Guard Seaman Leon Chingcuangco, assigned to maritime security cutter USCGC Bertholf (WMSL 750), serves as part of a helicopter tiedown crew with Coast Guard Air Station Los Angeles responsible for securing an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter to the flight deck and preparing it for launch over the Arctic Ocean Sept. 1, 2012, as part of Operation Arctic Shield 2012. Arctic Shield is a U.S. Coast Guard-directed exercise in conjunction with federal, state and tribal officials designed to test the Spilled Oil Response System as well as strengthen law enforcement and search-and-rescue capabilities in the Arctic regions of Alaska. |
