Description
English: U.S. Army 1st Sgt. Fernando Gonzalez, center left, and 1st Sgt. Donald Lindley, center right, both with the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, light a white candle signifying honesty and integrity, the values required of a noncommissioned officer (NCO), during an NCO induction ceremony March 8, 2014, at Forward Operating Base Shank in Logar province, Afghanistan. The ceremony marked the Soldiers’ transition from the junior enlisted ranks to the NCO ranks.
