Deutsch: Der Heinsberger Tunnel mit einer Länge von 1303 m wurde von 1911 bis 1913 von der Letmather Firma Ernst Pack aufgefahren – die Eröffnung und Freigabe für den Schienenverkehr erfolgte am 30. Juni 1914. Im September 1944 wurde der Tunnel für die Rüstungsindustrie gesperrt – geplant war die Herstellung von Bremsanlagen (Perrot Bremse) auf 5200 m². In der Planungsphase wurde der Produktionsanlage der Deckname „Taucher“ und im späteren Verlauf der Deckname „Birk“ zugewiesen. |
