English: CHARLESTOWN, Mass. (May 22, 2007) - Cmdr. Ty Martin (ret.), the 58th commanding officer (1974-1978) of USS Constitution, signs a copy of his book “A Most Fortunate Ship” for the 70th and current commanding officer of the ship, Cmdr. William A. Bullard III. Martin, who paid an office call to Bullard on May 22, first published his definitive text on “Old Ironsides,” in 1997. USS Constitution is – at 209 years old – the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world, manned by 64 active duty U.S. Navy Sailors, and visited by nearly half a million tourists annually.
