Description
Nederlands: Glasraamfragment met het alfabet in Gotisch en Romeins lettertype. Inspiratie : De Gentse drukker Joos Lambrecht geeft in 1539 het werk "Refereinen" uit. Hij wil als eerste het Romeins ABC in Nederlandstalige teksten promoten in plaats van de gangbare Gotische letters. In zijn voorwoord plaatst hij beide lettertypes naast elkaar, opdat de lezer met het Romeinse type vertrouwd zou worden. Het werd geen succes, en het duurt nog tot in de 18e Eeuw vooraleer het gewone volk het Gotische schrift loslaat.
