Description
English: A pilot from 29 Reserve Squadron disimbarks from his Typhoon aircraft at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire following a sortie.

Despite heavy snow, the hard work of airmen and women kept the airfield open, maintaining the ability of Britain's Southern Quick Reaction Alert to launch within minutes to intercept hostile or suspicious aircraft.

As the Operational Conversion Unit for Typhoon, 29 Sqn takes graduates of fast jet training at RAF Valley in Wales and prepares them for front line duties.
