Summary
[edit]DescriptionTwyn Tudor mound at Mynyddislwyn (geograph 2973257).jpg |
English: Twyn Tudor mound at Mynyddislwyn
An isolated mound situated next to St. Tudor's church, the origins of this site are uncertain but it seems likely that it was a Norman motte, possibly also an earlier religious site associated with Saint Tudor, a Dark Age king, ruler and saint. The site has several legends attached to it including that it is where St. Tudor lies buried along with large quantities of treasure, that Roman soldiers are buried inside the mound and that a giant is buried here. |
