Description
English: Two U.S. Army Sikorsky YR-4B helicopters in flight, circa in 1944. The U.S. Navy used three YR-4Bs and 22 R-4Bs as the HNS-1. The YR-4B were s/n 43-28227, 43-28229 and 43-28231. 43-28229 is visible in the back and became BuNo 39034. It was assigned to the Naval Air Test Center at Patuxent River, Maryland (USA). From 17 April 1944 to 4 September 1953, is was assigned to NACA Langley Research Center, Virginia (USA). Following its military service, it received to civil registry N75378 on 29 October 1957.
