heed. A later chapter will deal with this condition and itsremedy. CARE OF THE EYES. Like all delicate parts, the eyes require careful attention. Whenyou arise in the morning dont be surprised if you see black spots fora minute **r two. The pressure on the eyeball flattens the lens of theeye and causes this. Dont rub your eyes with your fingers; bathe themat once in moderately cold water and wipe them inwards. This pre-vents crows feet. Dont let soap get into the eyes. If the eyes areinflamed an application of hot water and milk in equal parts will helpgreatly. Or, the following lotion may be used: Fifteen drops ofspirits of camphor, one teaspoonful of powdered boric acid, two-thirdsof a cup of boiling water. Strain through muslin, cool, and applytwice a day. Or, bathe them frequently in weak salt water; or in tepidwater, gradually cooling it until cold; wipe them always gently with asoft towel, and rest them for a time. Ponds Extract is another washthat will usually prove effective.
