Description
English: Two Douglas A-4C Skyhawk (BuNo 148308, 148559) of Attack Squadron 94 (VA-94) "Shrikes" in flight, 6 May 1966. VA-94 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) for her around the world cruise from 26 october 1965 to 21 June 1966. In May 1966, Enterprise was operating off Vietnam.
Note that the A-4C 148308 wears the tail code "NM" of CVW-19. CVW-19 at that time was on the U.S. West Coast and the squadron code "NM-4XX" was assigned to Fighter Squadron 194 (VF-194). Therefore this aircraft is most probably a replacement aircraft that had been kept at Naval Air Station Cubi Point, Philippines.
