Description
English: Two U.S. Navy Douglas A-1J Skyraider (BuNo 142015, 142074) and an A-1H (BuNo 139771) of Attack Squadron 145 (VA-145) "Swordsmen" in flight, in 1963. VA-115 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 14 (CVG-14) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 21 February to 10 September 1963.
  • 138771 was later transferred to the U.S. Air Force and then to the Vietnamese Air Force.
  • 142015 was later transferred to the U.S. Air Force. It was shot down in Laos on 22 April 1970 while in service with the 602nd Special Operations Squadron. The pilot ejected and was rescued.
  • 142074 was written off on 5 February 1964.
