[edit]DescriptionTwoBabyEatingFauns-PaulMoullet 35AvenueDeMiremont-Geneva RomanDeckert12032021.jpg |
English: Two baby-eating fauns, with one of the children escaping from the basket by sliding down a rope respectively - on the haunted facades of the buildings at 33 Avenue de Miremont in the Champel part of Geneva, Switzerland, constructed in 1910 and designed by the architects Arthur Boissonnas (1879-1941) and Paul-Eugène Henssler (1878-1954). The relief sculptures of fairy tale images were made by the artist Paul Moullet (1878-1928). It remains mysterious what motivated the owner, a certain Mister Hoelscher, to commission the oger-motived art. The comedians Ludmilla and Georges Pitoëff, founders of the Pitoëff company, lived in that building from 1916 to 1922.
