SEED CORN. DUNCAN'S WHITE PROLIFIC. Every corn grower should have it. Dungan's White Prolific matures in about 105 to 110 days; is one of the largest white corns grown; has a very deep grain, small cob, and every cob pure white. One of the greatest yielders known, fully half the stalks producing two to three large, well-developed ears; makes a large foliage and will stand a drouth to much greater degree than any otber variety. It is no uncommon thing for Dungan's White Pro- lific to yield 100 bushels per acre. By mail, postpaid—1 pound, 15c. By ex- press or freight, not prepaid—Peck, 35c; K busbel, 60c; 1 bushel, $1.00. GOLDEN KING, RILEY'S FAVORITE, IMPROVED LEAMING, PRIDE OF THE NORTH, RED COB ENSILAGE, B. & W. WHITE COB. Any of the above Standard Sorts at $1.00 per bushel. SEVEN EARED FODDER. An excellent ensilage or fodder corn; prolific ear producer; early to mature and surpasses everything for big foliage. Grows twelve to fifteen feet high, stalks very short jointed, and has a wonderful growth of leaves. Has a very tender flesh, which is sweet, sugary and juicy. Produce double the amount per acre of green fodder and nourishment ovei common corn. Its merits are such that warrant every one in giving il atrial. Bushel,$1.25. FARM SEEDS. We will be glad to make special prices on all Farm Seeds. Prices are constantly changing and we are unable to make close catalogue quotations, and request you to send us a list of your wants and feel sure we can save you money. We carry a full line of Farm Seeds, but only list a few of the leading sorts, such as Clover, Timothy, Kentucky Blue Grass, English Blue Grass, Bed Top, Orchard Grass, Broom Corn. Sugar Cane, etc. THE FAMOUS SOJA BEAN, OR COFFEE BERRY. Something every farmer in America should grow. This is the wonderful Japanese Bean which has been sold at enormous prices by some firms as "Coffee Berry," but in reality it does not belong to the Coffee family of plants at all; but tests show that when it is roasted and coarsely ground it tastes very much like the Brazilian Coffee that is sold in this country, and it is undoubtedly the best substitute for coffee that has yet been found, there being nothing injurious at all about it, and there is no doubt but it is the most nutritious of all vegetable products. In some parts of the South it is extensively grown for feeding pigs, etc., and one of the Agricultural Bulle- tins, published by the Department, of Agricullhure at Washington, gives the following experiments: The Bulletin said it was found that a lot of three pigs which was fed for 126 days on a ration consisting for the first 11 weeks on Kaffir Corn alone, and the last 7 weeks on Kaffir Corn meal and shorts, gained a total of 191 pounds, while a similar lot of pigs, fed two-thirds Kaffir Corn meal and one-third Soja Bean meal, gained a total of 547 pounds in the same time. Another report shows that a lot of three pigs which was fed on corn meal for the first 11 weeks of the experiment, and a mixture of two-thirds corn meal and one-third shorts for the last three weeks of the experiment, made a total gain of 306 pounds in 126 days, while a similar lot of three pigs fed on two-thirds meal and one-third Soja Bean meal throughout the experi- ment, gained a total of 554 pounds in the same time. The large increased gains must be due solely to the Soja Bean meal, and it can not be too highly recommended. We offer the Extra Early variety, which can be grown in al- most every section of the United States. The rich quality of the seed makes them excellent home substitutes for Cotton or Linseed meal for feeding pur- poses, and cows are exceedingly fond of the ground beans, while the meal mixed with corn meal makes the very best kind of food for poultry. The plants are erect in growth, and yields of as high as 100 bushels per acre have been reported from various sections. The beans may be sown broadcast at the rate of 1% bushels per acre, or planted in drills Q/i feet apart and \XA feet between the plants, dropping two or three in each hill. When planted this way, about 4 quarts are required for the acre. We not only recommend this for farmers' use, but also for private experiments throughout the country, as it is considered much better than the cheaper varieties of coffee that are on the market. Packet.lOc; pint,25c; quart,45c,postpaid; peck,$1.10; bushel,$4.00.
