English: A guide rail at a railroad turnout installed to relieve wear and tear of the switch point rail on the left side.
The turnout actually is a 'catch points' and the traffic here is on the diverging track only (the straight track leads to the stub). The orange-coated man is a railroad worker lubricating the points' slide pads.Русский: Направляющий контррельс с противошёрстной стороны стрелочного перевода.
Прямой путь ведёт в предохранительный тупик, а поездные маршруты здесь только по отклонённому пути. Поэтому для уменьшения износа остряка стрелки установлен направляющий контррельс, смещающий колпары в сторону отклонения и подготавливающий тележку к повороту. Украина, Киев, станция Борщаговка, грузовой ход под путепроводом просп. Леся Курбаса / Космонавта Комарова. Человек в оранжевой куртке — это путеец, смазывающий опорные площадки, по которым скользят остряки при переводе стрелки. |
