Description
English: The Turner Hitching Post is a Modesto City Historic Landmark, and is recognized by the city's Landmark Preservation Commission. The Turner Hitching Post is located at 1104 14th Street in Modesto, California. The hitching post as well as the adjoining home was first established by John D. Turner in 1871. He was a member of the prominent Turner family, which had greatly contributed to Modesto's early growth and development.
