Deutsch: Anfang 16. Jh., Wohnhaus mit platzbeherrschendem Giebel; baugeschichtlich, künstlerisch, städtebaulich und ortsbildprägend von Bedeutung, ein Renaissancegebäude mit einigen noch spätgotischen Details; Das Haus ist eines der stadtbildprägendsten Gebäude Pirnas. Es entstand um 1525 infolge eines Gebäudeumbaus, wobei die heute ältesten vorhandenen Bauteile des Hauses aus der Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts stammen. Nach dem Umbau verfügte das Haus allerdings nur über zwei Vollgeschosse mit vier Zwerchhäusern. Letztere wurden (vermutlich nach dem Dreißigjährigen Krieg) zu Gunsten eines dritten Vollgeschosses abgebrochen. Deshalb weist der markante und hohe Giebel einen „Knick“ auf. 1753/56 fertigte der Maler Bernardo Bellotto, genannt Canaletto, eine Marktansicht, die bereits die heutige Gebäudeform zeigt. Obwohl Canaletto selbst keine weitere Bindung zu dem Haus besaß, ging sein Name auf das Gebäude über. Das Haus wurde 1997–99 im Rahmen der Stadtsanierung grundlegend saniert und beherbergt heute u. a. die Touristinformation der Stadt. |
