Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Turkey Creek Bridge in Harlan County, Nebraska. The bridge is located on County Road 722 just west of County Road P, southwest of Ragan. The picture was taken facing south (upstream). The pin-connected Pratt truss bridge was built in 1899 by the Canton Bridge Co. and the Jones & Laughlin Steel Co. The bridge is no longer in use: the road has been routed just upstream (south) of the bridge, and the creek passes under the present road through a corrugated-metal culvert, visible in the picture. The bridge is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
