| Description |
English: Turf Wall near Bank Hill This turf wall snaking south westward along the 1,000 foot contour above the steep escarpment was built as a boundary marker . It was undertaken as a form of relief utilising the unemployed who were largely paid in oatmeal. Whilst engaged in the building here and elsewhere in the Ochils they lived on site building stone shelters for themselves in which to rest. The remains of several of these structures can still be seen. |
