English: PictionID:42765541 - Title:Tupolev ANT-25 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: URSS N025. The Tupolev ANT-25 was a record breaking long distance aeroplane, two of which were built in the mid 1930's. Piloted by either Mikhail Gromov or Valery Chkalov, the two aircraft achieved several world records for long distance flights, both closed circuit and straight line. These eventually including flights from Moscow to the USA. In 1989 this full size replica was built for the museum by the Tupolev Design Bureau. It is on display in the original display hangar of the Russian Air Force Museum.
