English: Tunnel under the railway embankment The tunnel goes under the large railway embankment just at the point where a short branch line to Heap Bridge diverged from the main line. The branch must have been constructed at a later date as the stonework in the tunnel suggests that it was lengthened to accommodate the wider embankment required for the branch line |
