Deutsch: Buchenallee von Karlsburg nach Steinfurth
Steinfurth, Gemeinde Karlsburg, Amt Züssow, Landkreis Vorpommern-Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Im Mittelalter ein wichtiger Verkehrsknotenpunkt - eine Furt ermöglichte das relativ gefahrlose Überqueren eines größerern Gewässers, das heute nur noch an der Landschaftsform mit den tief liegenden Wiesen erkennbar ist - ist Steinfurth heute ein kleines, verschlafenes Straßendorf östlich von Karlsburg. Umgeben von Wäldern und Wiesen, über eine alte Buchenallee von Karlsburg aus zu erreichen, endet die Straße in Steinfurth. Neben der Ruine der 1664 zerstörten Dorfkirche lässt Theodor Alexander von Bismarck-Bohlen nach einem Entwurf von Friedrich August Stüler im Jahre 1858 eine neogotische Grabkapelle für seine verstorbene Gattin Karoline von Bohlen errichten. Die Grabkapelle dient in der Folge als Familienbegräbnisstätte der Familie von Bismarck-Bohlen, die bis 1945 im nahe gelegenen Schloss Karlsburg lebte. |
