Description
Svenska: Tre stycken tunnackiga yxor av flinta från Karleby socken, Vartofta härad, Falköpings kommun, f.d. Skaraborgs län, Västergötland, Västra Götalands län, Sverige. Yxorna visas i utställningen Forntid på Falbygden på Falbygdens museum i Falköping sedan 1994.
1. Den tunnackiga yxan till vänster är 38 cm lång och hittades 1930 i torvtaget "Jönsahäst" på Logårdens mark i Åsle mosse. Yxan skänktes 1931 till Falbygdens museum i Falköping och har där inventarienummer 515 (2M16-F0515).
2. Den tunnackiga yxan i mitten är från Storegården. Den inköptes 1943 av Falbygdens museum och har där inventarienummer 1740 (2M16-F1740).
3. Den tunnackiga yxan till höger är från Korpagården. Den inköptes 1948 av Falbygdens museum och har där inventarienummer 1927:1 (2M16-F1927-01).
4. Nere till höger skymtar även den cirka 5 cm breda eggen till en håleggad yxa från Uddagården. Yxfragmentet skänktes 1933 till Falbygdens museum och har där inventarienummer 837 (2M16-F0837).
5. Botten av montern täcks av flintavslag från olika verkstadsplatser i Karleby socken. Dessa ingår i en samling av totalt 50 kg flintavslag o.d. som samlades in av skolelever i Karleby under 1920-talet. Flintsamlingen skänktes 1926 eller 1927 av skollärare K.G. Netzén i Karleby till Falbygdens museum och den har där inventarienummer 205 (2M16-F0205).
