English: Tunkhannock Creek Viaduct began construction in 1912 and dedicated November 6 1915. It was built by the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad. It measurw 2375 long and is 240 feet high and was considered the largest concrete structure in the world when completed.It has a total of ten graceful spans. It is located in the small rural village in Nicholson, Wyoming County Pennsylvania and is now owned by the Norfolk Southern Railway and is in regular daily use. |
