DescriptionTunisia-4816 - In Memory to all the Dead and Injured (7864574958).jpg |
PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks. This is in memory of the 20 tourists and 3 others who were killed by terriorists at the Bardo Museum, Tunisia. The museum is "a jewel of Tunisian heritage." Its exhibits showcase Tunisian art, culture and history, and it boasts a collection of mosaics, as well as marble sculptures, furniture, jewels and other items. The Demna Baptistry - 6th century AD - in the Bardo Museum This early Christian baptismal font is richly decorated with mosaics discovered in Demna. It is one of the finest Christian mosaics to have been found in Africa, and even throughout the Roman world. |
