Description
Deutsch: Die Stadtpfarrkirche hl. Stephanus in Tulln wurde im frühen 12. Jahrhundert errichtet. Auf den Figurenpfeilern beim Tor sind 12 Passauer Bischöfe dargestellt. Die barocken Statuen links und rechts stellen den hl. Johannes von Nepomuk und den hl. Karl Boromäus der. Über dem Portal hängt ein kaiserlicher Doppeladler der zwei Köpfe in den Fängen hält. Die Epitaphe der Familie Verdenberg und Gravenegg, des Martinus Gerstenegker, des Sebastiano Langenawr und die von Wilhelm Vollbrecht und Michael Gruber sind in der Fassade eingemauert. English: The parish church of St. Stephanus in Tulln was built in the early 12th century. 12 bishops of Passau are depicted on the pillars by the gate. The baroque statues on the left and right represent St. John of Nepomuk and St. Karl Boromeus. Above the portal hangs an imperial double-headed eagle holding two heads in its claws. The epitaphs of the Verdenberg and Gravenegg family, Martinus Gerstenegker, Sebastiano Langenawr and those of Wilhelm Vollbrecht and Michael Gruber are walled into the façade. (left to right)
