Summary
[edit]DescriptionTuckswood Primary School - geograph.org.uk - 671209.jpg |
English: Tuckswood Primary School When the estate was built in 1948, you were only allocated an ordinary house if you had young children- so Tuckswood Infant School, as it then was, was always full to overflowing with pupils aged 4+ to 7. It was then a trek to the nearest junior schools, so in 1956 the new South Harford Junior School was built on the southern extension of the estate, South Tuckswood. In the 1970s, the infant school became a First School (ages 4+ to 8) and the junior school a Middle School (ages 8 to 12). A further reorganisation in 2007 closed the middle school, and the first school became a through-age primary school for ages 4+ to 11. |
