| Description |
English: Tuckswood Library This building was set up as a community centre when the estate was built in 1948. It was the health clinic and dental clinic for all the 'baby boom' children, (an open porch on each side of the building gave parking space for all the 'Silver Cross' type prams!) and it was also the local library from the late 1950s (until then the library had been in an ex-wartime building at Hewett Yard). Now the building is exclusively used by the library. |
