[edit]DescriptionTu fewn i Eglwys Llan San Sior - inside St George, Abergele, North Wales 10.JPG |
Cymraeg: Cofeb arall i Edward Lewis Hughes, Arglwydd Dinorben, sy'n son am ei gofeb enfawr yn y fynwent.
Cysegrwyd yr eglwys leol i Sant Siôr, sy'n ei gwneud yn anghyffredin iawn - gan mai nawddsant Lloegr oedd San Siôr. Sillafiad yr Eglwys yng Nghymru yw: Llansan Siôr. Pentref ym mwrdeistref sirol Conwy, gogledd Cymru, yw Llan Sain Siôr (Saesneg: St. George). Ceir sawl amrywiad ar yr enw yn Gymraeg, yn cynnwys Llan Saint Sior, Llansainsior, neu Sain Siôr yn unig).English: Mural of Edward Lewis Hughes, Lord Dinorben, mentioning his large mausoleum in the graveyard.
The church is a Grade II Listed Building. It was designed in 1887-94 by C H M Mileham (1837-1917) at great cost to Hugh R Hughes of Kinmel, to replace an earlier church. St. George (Welsh: Llansansior, sometimes Llan Sant Siôr or Llan Sain Siôr) is a small village in the county borough of Conwy, Wales and is close to the coastal town of Abergele. |
