(96 floors) Program: hotel, residential condominium, mercantile, parking, fitness center, restaurant, bar The Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago was designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill in 2009. When the project was originally announced, it was proclaimed the world’s tallest building, however, after the September 11th attacks it was scaled down a few hundred feet. Its unique asymmetrical shape gives the building a different appearance from every angle. The floor plan of the building tapers 65, 121, 201, and 338 meter above the ground and a spire rises from the top of the glassy cylinder. |
