Nederlands: Diorama. In een hut dansen een man en drie vrouwen, een man met rode jas en driekanten steek, aan weerszijden musicerende bosnegers en geheel rechts op de voorgrond een man met een blauw gewaad, rode sjerp en lange gestreepte mantel.
Vermoedelijk werden deze diorama's verkocht aan Europeanen (Lorm, 1943:159). Volgens de museumgegevens zijn de voorstellingen meest vermoedelijk die van dansen welke men nu en dan aan de negerslaven op plantages toestond of aan slaven uit de stad, maar dus niet van Bosnegers. Dit zou blijken uit de tijd van het ontstaan van diorama's, alsook uit de door de dansende negerinnen gedragen hoofddoeken en 'Westerse' rokken, welke een Bosnegerin nooit zou dragen, evenmin als een borstbedekking. Daarnaast wordt op het eerste gezicht verondersteld dat de neger in livrei een Bosnegerkapitein moet voorstellen, maar, gezien de eerdere argumenten zou het hier om een lakei van een aanzienlijke familie uit Paramaribo gaan. Gerrit Schouten (1779-1839) was de eerste Surinaamse kunstenaar die erkenning kreeg. Hij was een bekwaam aquarellist van de rijke flora van Suriname maar hij werd het meest bekend als maker van kijkkastjes met een vernuftig perspectief. Deze diorama's met scènes uit de plantagekolonie maakte hij in opdracht van kolonialen die een aandenken mee terug wilden nemen naar Nederland. Gerrit Carl François Schouten werd in 1779 geboren als oudste zoon van de Nederlander Hendrik Schouten en de kleurlinge Suzanna Johanna Hanssen. Hij staat bekend als de maker van diorama's, een soort kijkkasten met perspectivische voorstellingen. De thema's zijn Indianenkampen, slavendansen, stadsgezichten en plantages. Schouten maakte de diorama's van 1810-1834; de meeste van de 24 die bekend zijn, zijn verspreid over nederlandse musea. Een aantal is particulier bezit, en één bevindt zich weer in Suriname.
