Description
Nederlands: Wandversiering. Groen geschilderde halve kalebas met de tekst "Vergeet mij niet". Daarboven is een sleutel aan een koord afgebeeld, die wordt vastgehouden door twee naar elkaar gekeerde vogels. De binnenzijde vertoont florale motieven met de woorden "Uit liefde". Dergelijke kommetjes worden toegeschreven aan voormalige plantageslaven uit de kuststreek. Er bestaan ook deels door Bosnegers, deels door creolen vervaardigde exemplaren welke dus echt bi-culturele voorwerpen zijn. De binnenkant werd dan vaak voorzien van traditionele Bosnegermotieven, terwijl op de buitenkant allerlei voorstellingen uit Paramaribo en de kust werden weergegeven (Price, 1980:156-157; 1999:218)..
