Flyfoto som bl.a. viser Thomas Angells Hus, Waisenhuset, Nidarosdomen, Erkebispegården, Rådhuset, Katedralskolen, Det militære Bakeri, Ekserserhuset, Marinen og Gamle bybro.

Legg merke til kommunens splitter nye Rådhus i Munkegata 1. Fram til 1930 hadde nemlig Trondheim kommunes Formannskap og Bystyre hatt tilhold i den gamle Rådstuesalen i Kongens gate 2 (i dag Trondheim folkebibliotek).

Munkegata 1 var opprinnelig oppført 1895-1896 som lokalene til Trondhjems tekniske Læreanstalt. Da NTH ble opprettet ble læreanstaltens virksomhet videreført på Gløshaugen, og Trondhjems tekniske Mellomskole tok over lokalene fram til 1929.

Legg ellers merke til Trondhjems Kunstforenings helt nye og prisbelønte modernistiske bygning i Bispegata 7 B som ble oppført nettopp i 1930 (i dag kjent som Trondheim Kunstmuseum). Arkitekt Peter Daniel Hofflund (1897-1967) mottok Houens fonds diplom for bygget i 1931.

Kunstforeningens kjeller fungerte som Trondheim byarkivs første egentlige lokaler fra 1947. Kommunearkivet i Trondheim ble for øvrig opprettet som institusjon 01.01.1946 og drev sin virksomhet fra loftet i Rådhuset den aller første tiden.
