Description
Deutsch: Heutal, flaches Trockental zwischen Holzelfingen und Kohlstetten, Mittlere Kuppenalb (Schwäbische Alb). Die Waldränder bilden die Geländeform ab; die flachen Teile zwischen den Massenkalk-Kuppen werden gerne als Wiesen für die Heufuttergewinnung genutzt. Diese Formgebung und Nutzung sind auf der Kuppenalb häufig. Im Neogen flossen danubische Flüsse hier durch eine flache Landschaft (vgl. Urlauchert). Im Laufe des Quartärs sammelten sich Sedimente an. In dieser Zeit fiel das Tal auch endgültig trocken.

English: Heutal, flat dry valley in the Middle Swabian Alb. The terrain of the valley is wrapped by forests. The northern part of the Alb is formed by mud mounds (“Kuppen”), developed by biotically induced marine precipitation (unbedded marine sedimentations). The limestone scree between the Kuppen are often dominated by meadows, which are cultivated for hay production. There are many examples of this kind in the Middle Swabian Alb. These valleys were formed in Neogene by braided river systems. The sedimentation and the sinking took place in Quaternary.
