English: Lydia Eva YH89 Triple Expansion Steam Engine, near to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, Great Britain.
The triple expansion marine engine, fitted here at Great Yarmouth. All the pressure gauges are original as well as most bits of the engine. For the cylinder heads and how the engine works see here <a title="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1890857" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1890857">Link</a><img style="padding-left:2px;" alt="External link" title="External link - shift click to open in new window" src="http://s0.geograph.org.uk/img/external.png" width="10" height="10"/>. The red handle where the steel bar around the engine stops is the regulator. Steam is (the engine is still operational) produced by the Scotch boiler producing steam at 200 pounds per square inch. <a title="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1890860" rel="nofollow" href="https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1890860">Link</a><img style="padding-left:2px;" alt="External link" title="External link - shift click to open in new window" src="http://s0.geograph.org.uk/img/external.png" width="10" height="10"/> |
