Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Trinitas in Unitate. Above a rear entrance of 1106245 in Cooper's Row, EC3. Elizabeth I granted the Coat of Arms to Trinity House in 1573. The motto "Trinitas in Unitate" literally means "Three in One" and is believed to refer to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost - see http://www.trinityhouse.co.uk/interactive/a_brief_history_of_trinity_house.pdf. Curiously, the only other time I have seen this coat of arms was on a building at the end of an alleyway in the centre of Hexham, Northumberland - see 950051.
