Description O Parque das Dunas é uma reserva de 1.172 hectares de Mata Atlântica, declarada Patrimônio Ambiental da Humanidade, situada no coração da cidade de Natal (RN), entre os bairros de Mãe Luíza, Capim Macio e Ponta Negra, estendendo-se ao longo da Via Costeira. É o segundo maior parque urbano do país, superado em tamanho apenas pela Floresta da Tijuca, no Rio de Janeiro. Exerce uma grande importância na regulação do clima local, contribuindo com a recarga do aquífero subterrâneo, fixação das dunas e purificação do ar, além de ser uma bela paisagem.
