Summary
[edit]DescriptionTrickNetsuke.jpg |
This netsuke of Daikoku's hammer opens to reveal a carving of Urashima Taro. Urashima is made of ivory, but the hammer is lacquer, so the netsuke is not heavy. A person could wear it and be unaware of its contents, as Urashima was unaware of the contents of his box. The hammer is 1.12" (28mm) across. |
