The painting is a copy of Tribute to the Eucharist initially completed by Michael Damaskinos between 1550–1593. Several copies were created another version of the same work was completed by Andreas Karantinos in 1709. The model of the work resembles Raphael's Disputation of the Holy Sacrament.
