Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Triangulation pillar on Stagbury Hill, Furzley Common The concrete trig pillar on the right is on top of Stagbury Hill, a sandy knoll on Furzley Common, to the north of Cadnam Common. The benchmark on the pillar is 60 metres above sea level, which gives it a good view of the surrounding lowland heaths. The hill was used as a rabbit warren in post-medieval times, when rabbit meat was valued as food.
