| Description | Six Super-Slab® trial panels were fabricated and installed per specifications and installation practices planned for the project site to allow evaluations of the design and installation and to test the load transfer efficiency at 37 joints. This was part of the FHWA, Highways for LIFE project with VDOT to demonstrate the use of precast concrete pavement system (PCPS) technologies to replace concrete slabs on a section of I-66 and a ramp lane leading to US-50 West. |
