Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Trento (Italy): top of Municipio Vecchio with a bronze eagle (by D. Furlani, XIX century) and four of the original group of twelve statues (by Jacopo Eberle, second half of XVIII century) that decorated the gardens of Castello del Buonconsiglio. Later, the statues were donated to the city and placed (six by side) along the canal Roggia Grande that flew across Piazza del Duomo. Eight statues have then been sold, and the remaining four were placed in 1838 on the top of Municipio Vecchio (after having their broken arms restored by Giacomo Spiera of Giussano).
